Night transformed to day by brilliant LED lights at Mangaung Oval

The Free State Cricket Union switched on their brand new stadium lights for the first time on 05 October 2017, never looking back since. Within a mere 10 seconds, the entire field was bathed in 2700 lux white light, powered by the new LED lighting installation supplied by LED Capital.  Imagine the team's delight at this experience, compared to their previous solution that supplied 1000 lux after 17 minutes!  

In addition, this high-efficiency lighting system comprised of individually focused light modules saves vast amounts of  electricity, allowing the Cricket Union to offer better play time for longer, at much reduced cost. 

Despite occasional violent weather, including hail storms that shattered car windows and destroyed several electrical installations in the area, the lighting system experienced no failures and continues to operate flawlessly to this day.
